FLASH DAM INSTRUCTIONS

Instructions for use:

⚡ Quick Guide: Flash-Dam Emergency Roof Repair Dam

🛑 Stop the Leak - Form the Dam

  1. Clear the Water: Squeegee water towards a drain to minimize ponding. Flash-Dam works best in water that is 1/2" deep or less.
  2. Create the Dam: Sprinkle approximately 1 oz of Flash-Dam for every 36 linear inches (3 feet).
  3. Establish the Barrier: Create a square or perimeter around the immediate leak area. Ensure a 12-inch gap on all sides between the Flash-Dam powder and the spot you intend to repair.

✅ Repair and Finish

  1. Prepare to Repair: Once the gel-like dam has formed and is containing the water, use a towel to dry the repair area within the dam's perimeter. Clean off any organic matter.
  2. Complete Repair: Apply your permanent patch or sealant to the clean, dry area.
  3. Cleanup: Once the repair is complete, use the supplied broom and Flash-Dam clean-up pan to remove the Flash-Dam gel.
  4. Properly dispose of Flash-Dam gel in a garbage can.

♻️ Important Notes:

NOTE: Always treat Flash-Dam as a solid waste product. Scrape and gels or powders into a plastic bag, seal it and dispose of it in the trash. NEVER rinse it down the drain/gutter or leave it on the work substrate after the job is complete. Not for human consumption. Any use of this product outside the manufacturers recommended usage is prohibited.

This product is not classified as hazardous according to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1200

Flash-Dam is not regulated for transport

Flash-Dam is a temporary, emergency leak-stopping barrier, not a permanent repair
